Atwood House Addition

“Home is the nicest word there is”– Laura Ingalls WilderHomeward Bound, Atwood House is home to three young men and one young woman with severe mental and physical disabilities. These wonderful individuals, through no fault of their own, find themselves waking up each day to face extraordinary challenges. Moving around and utilizing our space at home is something many of us may take for granted. Having too small a living room, not enough bathrooms, or a main level laundry area can be difficult for anyone, especially so for those with disabilities. We seldom think about what individuals with disabilities need every day to help them meet the enormous challenges they face.A generous individual donor and Vujovich Design Build, Inc., along with many of their sub-contractors, have graciously taken Atwood House under their wing.  They have committed to design and build a new family room, add a bathroom, and add a new laundry area on the main floor with donations. The overall retail value of the entire project is over $400,000. Thanks to the help of the community, we are making a house into a “home”.Thus far, the following companies have donated in-kind products or services to this important project. A huge thank you goes to:
