Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota (ARRM)

As Minnesota’s leading association for disability service providers, ARRM has been an invaluable partner through advocacy, education, leadership development, and collaboration. From legislative advocacy to professional conferences and networking opportunities, ARRM helps strengthen Homeward Bound’s ability to deliver innovative, person-centered services while connecting us with partners across the disability services community.

Breck School

Our partnership with Breck School began in 2024 and continues to grow through meaningful volunteer projects and community engagement. Students generously share their time and talents on a weekly basis during the school year, while learning firsthand about inclusion, service, and building stronger communities for people with disabilities. Their commitment to service has created lasting relationships that continue to enrich the lives of the people we support.

Brooklynk

Brooklynk has played an important role in strengthening Homeward Bound’s workforce development efforts by connecting students with meaningful career exploration opportunities in disability services. What began as student internships evolved into the creation of an official Student Direct Support Professional position, helping introduce the next generation of caregivers to rewarding careers while expanding our ability to recruit passionate, mission-driven team members.

Century College

Our collaboration began in 2006 with Century College students do the designs for our 14 kitchen remodels.

Christ Memorial Lutheran Church

Christ Memorial Lutheran Church has become a valued community partner through volunteer service, relationship building, and hands-on projects that directly benefit the people we support. Their willingness to serve alongside us demonstrates how local faith communities can make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents.

Church of the Open Door – Next Gen

The Next Gen Ministry Youth Group at Church of the Open Door continues to inspire through monthly volunteerism and service projects that strengthen our homes and enrich the lives of those we support. Their energy, compassion, and commitment to serving others have made them a wonderful partner in our mission while encouraging the next generation to embrace lives of service.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School has introduced talented and service-minded students to careers supporting individuals with disabilities through workplace learning, career exploration, and community engagement. This partnership helps develop tomorrow’s workforce while creating meaningful connections with the people we serve.

Darling Little Farms

Emily Noel, founder and owners of Darling Little Farms has helped cultivate more than gardens—they’ve helped grow opportunities for learning, wellness, and connection. Through generous support of our community gardening initiatives, they have provided expertise and resources that allow the people we support to enjoy the many benefits of gardening and spending time outdoors.

Holmes Murphy

Holmes Murphy has become a remarkable partner through volunteer service and their Adopt-a-Home commitment at our Plymouth house. Their team has invested countless hours helping improve our homes while building meaningful relationships with the people who live there, creating lasting impact that extends well beyond a single volunteer day.

Housing First Minnesota Foundation

In 2016, the BATC Foundation (now Housing First Minnesota Foundation) along with build partner Vujovich Design Build graciously took Bluebird House under their wing; designed and built a new family room addition, bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, and storage area. All materials and labor were donated through their vendors and partners!

Minnesota Real Estate Investors Association

We are excited to have a new partner in MnREIA!  Their skilled volunteers in the trade kicked off with a big project in 2024; removing and rebuilding the ramp at Jersey House.  They also removed and installed a new patio door at Webster House.  To kick off summer 2025, they will be installing one patio door/month at June, 36th and Althea houses.

North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and International Standards & Training Alliance

Our partnership and subsequent flooring install began back in 2011 and continues today!  INSTALL Training Center has done a project per year for us, and just installed the entire level of new flooring, including the bedrooms, at Lake Drive house!

North of North Resort

Our partnership with North by North has opened the door to unforgettable outdoor adventures for the people we support. Together, we’ve expanded access to Minnesota’s Boundary Waters and the beauty of Ely through accessible travel experiences that promote confidence, independence, and meaningful community connection. As Adventure Club continues to grow, we’re excited to build even more opportunities together.

Saint Paul College

The Saint Paul College students did their 14th kitchen remodel for us at Independence House in 2021. Our partnership began with the Saratoga kitchen in 2006. We are so fortunate to have the students from Saint Paul College as partners! The carpentry students have also built storage sheds at a few of the houses.  And the Cabinetry students just installed a wall unit at Maple Grove House in 2025; hundreds of hours to design, build and install!
