Ways to Donate
By supporting the services of Homeward Bound, you become an important partner in our commitment to increase the self-reliance, self esteem and dignity of those individuals we serve with disabilities.
Ways to support a wonderful quality of life for children and adults with disabilities:
Gifts – cash gifts are always welcome and can make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. Unrestricted gifts provide us the greatest flexibility and are used where needed most. These gifts can fund camp, the purchase of a new van, necessary medical equipment, home improvements or even a new home.
In-kind – gifts of time, expertise or materials help us to make necessary improvements to our homes. Everyone deserves a safe place to live that they can be proud of. Samples of in-kind donations are: electrical services, plumbing services, roofing or siding labor, installing new windows or doors. Material donations can be new windows, siding, roofing materials, deck materials, new appliances etc. For more information about in-kind donations contact, Lori Merriam at (763) 746-4820.
Honorariums/Memorials – are a meaningful way to remember a loved one, honor someone’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion with a gift to Homeward Bound. For more information about honorariums or memorial gifts contact, Liz Trombley at (763) 746-4822.
Planned Giving – If you plan to make a charitable gift to Homeward Bound through your will/bequest, please consult your attorney to create or update your will. We hope you’ll tell us when you have named Homeward Bound in your will. We would like the opportunity to thank you.
The official bequest language for Homeward Bound: “I give and bequeath to Homeward Bound Foundation the sum of (dollar amount) or (percentage) of the residue of my estate to be used at the discretion of its governing board.”
